Doubles finals was so gripping....winners were not known until the last moment. Here is the summary of the match:
First set, 5-2 lead by Chidambaram & Saravanan team. Prem Prakash & Ram Subramanian team fought back and brought the score to 6-6 and lost in the tie breaker.
In the second set, Chidambaram and Saravanan team lead 3-0. Prem Prakash team fought back, 3-4, then 4-4,..and again from 5-6, forced the tiebreaker and then won the tie-breaker convincingly
In the super tie-breaker Chidambaram and Saravanan were leading 7-2, then 8-4. From there, Prem Prakash and Ram Subramanian won all the 6 points to win 10-8 Prize ceremony date will be announced later. It might be a day out program -Nehru | |
